Laurel Pediatric & Teen Medical Center Welcomes New Providers

Kirsten Taleb, NP

Kirsten Taleb is an ANCC board-certified nurse practitioner. She is also a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland. Kirsten Taleb attended undergrad at Coppin State earning her B.S. in Nursing. She then returned to Coppin State to receive her Master’s degree in nursing.
Kirsten’s work experience includes employment with Pediatric Primary Care and Urgent Care. She also has experience working in the critical care units of a few MD-based hospitals serving as the clinical preceptor for nurses in the critical care area.
Kirsten has a special interest in preventive and alternative methods to healing. Born and raised in Baltimore City, Kirsten loves to spend time with family, read, travel, and cook. Kirsten is available to see patients on Mondays and Thursdays

Kiethlyn Gabat, NP

Kiethlyn Gabat is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Towson University and her Master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University. She has been a staff nurse for 7 years before becoming a nurse practitioner. She enjoys helping children, parents, and families.
Kiethlyn enjoys the company of her children and family on her free time. She absolutely loves being outdoors, hiking, and spending time with her loved ones.
Kiethlyn is available to see patients every weekday except Tuesdays.

Ugonma (Ugo) Harriet Okparaocha, MD

Laurel Pediatric and Teen Medical Center is proud to announce that Dr. Ugonma (Ugo) Harriet Okparaocha has joined our practice. She is now available to see patients from newborn to age 20
Dr. Ugo is a graduate of University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, Enugu, Nigeria. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn New York. She has been in medical practice for more than 20 years. She is Board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She has worked in several clinical settings, including primary Pediatric care at the Appalachian Clinic located in Hazard, Kentucky, and various primary pediatric clinics in Maryland. She affiliated with University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She is also currently one of the hospitalists rendering inpatient Pediatric care at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.

Jennifer Seibel, PA-C

Jennifer Seibel, a Board Certified Physician Assistant, joined Laurel Pediatrics in April of 2007.

Jennifer graduated from Wingate University where she finished her degree of Bachelors of Science, Pre-Med/Biology. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a recipient of an award for Excellence in Biology. She completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Towson University and CCBC Essex College. Jennifer has been a member of Towson University CCBC Essex Physician Assistant Advisory Committee.

Jennifer has had a wide clinical experience in primary care Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and OB-GYN.

Jennifer Seibel, PA-C

Amber Wheeler is a board certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Amber earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University and her Master’s degree from the University of Maryland. She has worked in several clinical settings including the Neonatal ICU at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and the Pediatric Surgery Center at the University of Maryland. She joined Laurel Pediatric and Teen Medical Center in June of 2013.

In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, reading and raising her backyard chickens.

Hope Camp,FNP

Hope Camp is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from George Mason University and her Master’s degree in nursing from the University of Delaware. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked at the Johns Hopkins Bayview in the Pediatric Emergency Room and Labor & Delivery. She has a bright and cheerful demeanor and loves working with children of all ages. When she is not at work she enjoys kayaking, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and their daughters along with their dog Zoey.
